About this deal

Suitable to use from birth, this 360 swivel seat comes with a ‘Grow with me’ insert made of three individual pieces that adapts to your child’s size and body shape as they grow (up to 105cm or approx 4 years). We love our Britax Romer Dualfix M i-size. Feels incredibly safe, their safety standards go beyond EU regulations. My son finds it very comfy” - tried and tested by Mumsnet user, darcey87 Turn2Me i-Size R129 meets the new R129 (legally known as ECE R129) standards. The main differences in these standards are that car seats are based on your child’s height, undergo more side impact testing, and ensure children sit rearward facing until they reach 15 months and 75cm. Turn2Me i-Size is based on these standards. In our car seat buying guide, you can learn more about car seat standards and help figure out which car seat is right for you.

Lucy has personal experience of researching, buying and using car seats with her own children, including the first car seats compatible with her travel system to 360-degree swivel seats and the multi-stage car seats that her children, aged six and 10, still use today. About the editor Size of the seat: Does it fit in your car? With these car seats, I tell parents to look at the dimensions and add a few inches in every direction except the side nearest the door to see if it fits in your space. That top part really does jut out, and it can clip your seat or plain old not fit in the space. How easy is it to rotate? How does the seat rotate? Does it have panels or levels on the side or at the front? Front panels are often easier to operate, but the more simple the mechanism the better.Suitable from: Birth to 105cm (or age four) – forward-facing from 76-105cm | Safety credentials: R129, Stiftung Warentest (2.1), ADAC (2.1) and ÖAMTC (good) and side impact protection | Fixing system: ISOFIX | Weight: 15kg | Guarantee: Two years What we love One of the biggest frustrations of 360 car seats for Mumsnet users is that most are fixed to the base - not ideal if your newborn falls asleep in the car. The Maxi Cosi Pebble 360 offers a removable seat which is travel system compliant, allowing you to remove it from the base and attach it to a compatible travel system when you reach your destination. Key specs – Group: Children 4-12 years or 150cm in height; Item weight: 7.5kg; Attachment method: Isofix; Additional features: Adjustable headrest Interested in an ISOFIX car seat? Suitable from: Birth to 4 years| Safety credentials: i-Size (R129), steel strength technology and automatic side impact shield and voluntary Swedish PLUS test | Fixing system: ISOFIX | Weight: 14.30 kg | Guarantee: 2 years What we love Integrated rebound bar helps minimize rotation during impact. Doubles as a luxe carry handle when switching cars. The seat has a 10-position, no-rethread harness and headrest and is tested to both American and European standards. Plus, the cushioning is some of the best I’ve felt. Overall, the Turn2Me is hard to beat for the money. It also features installation guides for Cybex’s car seats, as well as how-to videos. What’s more, you can buy the Sensor Safe clip separately and it works with Cybex Platinum and Gold car seats.A load leg is a support which extends from the base of a car seat to the floor of the vehicle. Its purpose is to absorb energy and prevent excessive movement of the car seat in the event of an impact. We have the Joie i-Spin 360 and it's brilliant. It lasts until they are about four, so good value too” - recommended by Mumsnet user, Cosybelles

Key specs – Group: 0+/1; Item weight: 11kg; Attachment method: Isofix; Additional features: Rotating seat, washable cover, no-rethread harness, 2yr guarantee What Our Tester Loved: He said that he loved how slim it was. He has minimum seat space for maximum number of children, and he can fit three car seats across with the Revolve. He says that even when he turns the seat, it doesn't bump into the seat next to it because it's significantly higher up. He also reported that there's nothing you can't get out of the car seat, and it has had everything you can think of spilled on it. Thanks to the fact that it's machine-washable, and can go in the dryer, it's the easiest to maintain

About the editor

Suitable from: Birth to 83cm (around 15 months old) | Safety credentials: i-Size (R129), integrated side impact protection | Fixing system: ISOFIX (with Family Fix 360 Base) or seatbelt | Weight: 3.9kg | Guarantee: 2 years What we love There are currently 2 different car seat standards in the EU. R44 (legally known as ECE R44/04) car seats are divided into groups based on weight, with some covering multiple groups. Turn2Me R44 is based on these standards. The Maxi-Cosi Coral car seat fits via a separate FamilyFix3. This connects to the Isofix anchors in your car or it can be secured using the seat belt of your car. It’s not cheap and will only last until your baby is a year old (or 12kg), but we think it’s worth it. The former means you don’t have to lug a heavy car seat with you. The downside is you’ll likely have to wake the baby to do so. The latter means you can easily transport a sleeping baby from the car to the house or onto a buggy. In the UK, children are required by law to travel in a booster seat up to the age of 12 (or 135cm in height – whichever comes first). Axkid’s Nextkid is designed for this transition, with a comfortable padded seat with four-step expanding side wings, an adjustable headrest and super-soft fabric.
